1. About HomeNoter

HomeNoter is a personal project that allows users to store and manage information about their homes, such as documents, bills, and optional property data. We provide this Service on an "as-is" basis, without commercial guarantees or warranties.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use HomeNoter. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Your account

To use HomeNoter, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity under it. Please notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Your content

You may add optional information about your home, including documents, photos, and expenses ("User Content"). You retain all ownership rights to your User Content. By uploading User Content, you grant us a limited license to store and process it for the purpose of providing the Service.

We do not sell, share, or use your User Content for any purpose other than delivering the Service features, such as storage, retrieval, and AI-based assistance where enabled.

5. Third-party services

HomeNoter integrates with third-party providers (e.g., AWS, OpenAI, Upstash) to store and process data. By using features relying on these services, you agree that data may be processed by them under their own privacy and security practices. See our Privacy Policy for details.

6. Prohibited activities

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful or harmful purpose.
• Attempt to access, reverse engineer, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
• Upload content that violates laws, infringes intellectual property, or contains harmful material (e.g., malware).

7. Service availability

HomeNoter is provided as a personal project and may change or be discontinued at any time without notice. We do not guarantee continuous availability, uptime, or error-free operation.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided on an "as-is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We disclaim all warranties including fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted operation.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of HomeNoter. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the Service is to stop using it.

10. Termination

You may stop using HomeNoter at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Effective date" at the top will reflect the latest version. If changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users before they take effect.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of UK courts.
